About Nona
Nona F Mecklenberg is Little Pete's neighbour and best friend. The F stands for Francis but she'll get it legally changed to either Frame or Forklift. She only moved to Wellsville at the beginning of the second series and at first she hated it there. She was so homesick that she covered her new house with pictures of her old one. Even her dog, Nimbus hated Wellsville and in protest, he wouldn't pee. However things turned out for the best in the end, Nona even decided to take the pictures of her old house down from her new one and Nimbus overcame his problem with devastating effects.
In the past Nona has helped Pete with many adventures. She helped him with his great escape when he was grounded for life. When Pete's tunnel digging antics ruined the lawn again, she spray painted it green to keep Dad off his trail and she also inspired his final push for freedom with her moving Lady Liberty speech. On other occasions she has helped him travel back in time, find the lucky penny, promote his gut fludge at the school dance, pull "the fakerooni of the century", beat Papercut...
Nona has many unique traits. She always wears a plaster cast on her arm, not because she's broken it or anything, but because she likes the itchy feeling it gives her and because it feels soooo good when she gets round to scratching it. Another one is that her speech patterns can cloud men's minds and her taste buds are like a flavour computer. She has a lucky hat, lucky underpants, a lucky candy necklace (also worn by Pitstain: is there perhaps a connection?) and her burps taste like hotdogs. Her dad bears an uncanny resemblance to Iggy Pop and his pastimes include embarrassing Nona and giving Artie a hard time. Nona also excels at dancing which is shown by her majestic hyperactivity in Dance Fever.
Nona didn't appear in any episodes before the second series and missed out on quite a number in the third series so she could film "Harriet the spy" for Nickelodeon. She was promoted to main character fame in the third series where she took over Artie's spot (which was no mean feat) and even got her very own title picture.
